Gekko Miscellany

Ogata Gekko was a man of his time and like many of his peers was an artist in the broadest sense. His work included images on postcards, fan prints, surimono, tanzaku, lithographic prints and sugoroku boards. More examples of each genre lurk behind the images below. There are also a two examples of the cherry wood blocks used to make the actual images.
